First off, let me explain that this peice of writing is the direct result of a conversation between myself, another designer and a developer. The conversation or rant rather, at least that was how it stared out (but progressed rapidly from rant to debate via conversation, argument and lecture) was at a monthly event/meet-up of designers and developers in the Web Design industry, in Edinburgh called Refresh, organised by a developer co-worker of mine John Sutherland.
